Each year, the Providence Housing Authority (PHA), and its nonprofit affiliate the Providence Community Opportunity Corporation (PCOC), sponsor events to spread goodwill and holiday cheer at each of our public housing developments.

Calendar of Holiday Events at our Elderly/Disabled Units

Resident Services Department Team Members at each of the PHA elderly/disabled developments are hosting special holiday luncheons for their residents.  Events are an opportunity for residents to share a wonderful meal and good company.  The schedule for elderly/disabled developments is as follows:

Holiday Events at our Family Units

Management teams at each of the PHA family developments are hosting special holiday events for their residents.  Events are free and for residents only.  Many require an RSVP to attend.  Please see the event info below for more details.

  • Chad Brown and Admiral Terrace Holiday Party: Join us on Monday December 17th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm for music, food, games, raffles, and arts & crafts to enjoy with your family!  This event is generously hosted by Providence Councilman Nicholas J. Narducci Jr. and the Chad Brown Management Team.
  • Hartford Park Breakfast with Santa: Join us on Saturday December 15th from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm for a breakfast with Santa. The event also features face painting, crafts, holiday music, and much more!  This event is for Hartford Park residents only.  Tickets can be picked up at the Hartford Park Management Office until December 5th.  No tickets will be given at the door.
  • Manton Heights and Scattered Sites Holiday Carnival: Join us on Sunday December 16th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm for food, Santa’s Workshop, Raffles and Prizes.  This event is for Manton Heights and Scattered Site residents only.  Tickets can be picked up at the Manton Heights Management Office (31 Salmon St. Providence) between December 2nd and December 12th.
  • Codding Court and Roger Williams Holiday Extravaganza: Join us on Sunday December 16th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm for food, music, crafts, cupcake decorating, gifts, and a raffle.  This event is for Codding Court and Roger Williams residents only.  Tickets can be picked up at the Codding Court Management Office (144 Dodge St. Providence) until December 10th.  No tickets will be given at the door.

Holiday Giving

During the holiday season, the PHA and PCOC also take the opportunity to partner together to raise funds for future activities and events for our residents.  Your tax deductible donation to the PCOC helps provide for holiday food baskets, toys for families in need, on-going operational support of our Parenti Village Food Pantry, special events, and so much more.  Checks and money orders can be mailed or brought to the PHA/PCOC offices at 100 Broad Street in Providence, RI 02903.  The envelope should be addressed to the attention of Linda Poole.  We thank you in advance for your generosity.
